Macbook Dead After 4 Days
My wife got a white Macbook last Friday. Today she was trying to import photos and got a kernel panic. After rebooting all we got was the Mac startup sound and then 3 beeps. Apple’s site says it means the memory is bad. Maybe it just needs to be re-seated, but lack of a screw driver here on vacation is keeping us from trying. Maybe I need to invest in apple care after all.

You mean to tell me that there’s no Apple Store on St. Thomas?!
I wonder if it just got jostled loose. And, I can’t rave enough about AppleCare (on laptops, anyway). I had to have my SuperDrive replaced and it paid for itself at least two times over.

What happened to the impenetrable Apple products. Just last night I saw a commercial where PC was being made of fun of because he had been error free for a whole week. Your’s only made it four days!

Looks like it is one of the sticks of memory. I will have to see about getting it fixed.
