Where are the best fireworks in Atlanta?
So last night I watched the fireworks at Dellinger Park in Cartersville, GA. The show was put on by the “Optimist Club” and the city. Lets just say after watching the display I have no reason to join the Optimist Club….although, I probably wouldn’t be allowed to join on account of not being an optimist. Anyway, that isn’t the point of this post.
Next year I would like to go watch the best fireworks in the Atlanta Metro area. So where are they? I have heard that Lennox and Stone Mountain are really good. So where did you go? How was it?

Acworth Beach was pretty much a bust. It only lasted about 10-15 minutes and the “grand finale” was so exciting when it was over, I was like–was that it?
In fact, the most exciting part of the show were the rednecks down the beach that were putting on their own fireworks show during the actual fireworks show.
It was fun just to hang out with friends and such beforehand, though.

The Powder Springs fireworks were also not so good. They were late getting started, and were only about 15 minutes long. When they were over, the horendous parking lot backed up and we sat there for almost 30 minutes until the lot emptied out
No thank you!
Next time i will just set fire to Shanes house and then stare at that for about 20 to 30 minutes and leave.

Sugar Hill at Robinson Park had the best Fireworks show I have ever seen.
I grew up watching Six Flags’s nightly show as a child, and even worked at Disney World seeing the light show on the water and the Fireworks over the Magic Kingdom every night.
But I have to say Sugar Hill put on the best show, one of the longest (approx 25 minutes) and some of the most unusual displays, spread patterns, and with high intensity. There where so many going off all the time throughout, it bettered most Grand finales all the way though. That was on July 3rd.
So it allowed us to go to Lake Lanier Islands show on the 4th. There was no comparison.
Sugar Hill is my all time favorite show I have ever seen.
I been to the Braves on the 4th, to Lenox on the fourth, even to the Gallerie Mall years ago when they had some famous Italian family putting on the show, the Magic Kingdom on the 4th.
Sugar Hill had a full event starting at 630 pm. food, concert stage, music set to the Fireworks, and even a outdoor movie afterwards.
