Is McDonald’s Copying Chick-Fila?

I was listening to the radio today (I have been forced to listen to the radio since my Ipod adapter started doing strange stuff to my car) and I heard and ad for the new “Southern Style Chicken Sandwich” from McDonalds. It is a simple chicken filet two pickels and a bun. Is it just me or is that an obvious knock off of Chick-Fila’s Chicken Sandwich?

Well, my chicken sandwich money will continue to go to Chick-Fila…sorry Ronald.

It is an obvious knock off… There sandwich isnt that good, there is just something about those chick fila buns.

Man, you are SO right. I had one of these sandwiches the other day and it is exactly like a Chick-Fila sandwich. Heck, I think its even a bit better. Bigger piece of chicken.

Now, if they start offering polynesian sauce (my favorite) and waffle fries, I might start going to McDonalds again.

Ron’s a Chick-fil-A fan. That “Ronald” is just a wanna be.

And Ron’s also jealous theguru got The Cisco God commenting on his blog. Wow, you have arrived. Goodbye, PR3; hello, PR7. :)

Since I have now tried it (and for free), I can give an honest and open-minded review.

Though the piece of chicken on my “Ronald” was bigger and seemed fresher than Chik-Fil-A’s, the taste just wasn’t quite there. I think like Firefighter said, it seemed like something not right with the bun. Also, my piece of chicken seemed to have a chunk of fat in it which sorta grossed me out. Given the choice, I’d probably go Chik-Fil-A for the sandwich and McD’s for the fries (I, unlike many others, hate those stupid waffle fries).

It does seem like a complete rip-off, though.
